The Silence Of Men Puts Their Wives, Daughters, Sisters, Mothers And All Females At Risk Of Discrimination And Sexual Violence

The current campaigns against the sexualisation of children, the ending of page 3 models in The Sun, the highlighting of ‘everyday sexism’, the spread and acceptance of pornography into the wider society, and the proliferation of pornography and sexism into the everyday lives of our children; are seldom supported proactively by the men of this country.

Sadly, the majority of men shout, "wot about male equality" whenever they come across anything which tries to balance out the discrimination women and girls face every single day. Such places and organisations aimed at ‘women only’ are required in a patriarchal society, in which by definition 'men' control everything. Men can hardly claim they are disadvantaged, generally speaking.

Such attitudes are just a diversionary tactic, because accepting the issues concerned requires understanding and action; both of which are scarce commodities in the priorities of the male in addressing society’s ills.

The real problem is MEN - period!

I argue that as a man who is at most times embarrassed to be of the male gender, due to the sickening macho bullshit that comes out of the mouths of most, the blindness they prefer to maintain when it comes to how their daughters, mothers, wives, girlfriends and female friends are treated in our society; and the acquiescence with which they enforce such macho Neanderthal-like behaviours.

Fact is by attacking women who have real justification for feeling that all men are the same and standing back and not joining them in their ‘equality’ demands, for example, The Scum tabloid known as the Sun to be forced to stop page 3 and other grotesque attitudes towards women and girls; they pamper to the majority males with 'chips on their shoulders' and fear of women whenever women stand up for themselves.

Such attitudes betray the general 'fear' and 'aggression' which the majority of men hold for women, and the 'dislike' they have for the female gender.

I often hear men say of course "We like women, after all, we shag them don't we?" Ha, Ha, laugh, laugh!

They mistake sexual attraction of the physical with actually 'liking' the person within the body.

I don’t think many men actually 'like' women. They are simply in ‘lust’ for them, in 'awe' of them, and 'threatened' by them! Indeed, they blame their ‘sexual weaknesses’ upon women, taking no responsibility for their own behaviours and actions.

Why else does our male controlled society and world do all it can to oppose, minimise, objectify and control women using their biology and physical attributes as tools against them.

Proof?

Women's history has been obliterated from western society historical records and the majority of religions, whilst female role models have been re-formed into the sum total of their bodies and 'marketed' as a tool for male sexual gratification.

Sorry, but, it may as well be the case that 'all men are the same' because a microscopic few do anything to address the misogyny that all female children grow up with and having to face throughout their lifetimes!

The silence of the majority of men in the face of misogyny, sexism, sexually violent imagery and attitudes which minimise and control women’s aspirations; directly ensures the majority of women and girls in our society will live at risk of becoming victims of sexual abuse, sexual violence and sexual discrimination throughout their lives.
